This conference connects multidisciplinary scientists in the emerging fields of epigenetics and bioengineering crucial for precision medicine. Experts in cellular, molecular biology, biochemistry, computer science, bioinformatics, medicine, and systems/synthetic biology will delve into foundational principles and cutting-edge technologies, to advance epigenetic engineering and its applications.
Event details of 7th International Conference on Epigenetics and Bioengineering
Start date
3 October 2024
End date
5 October 2024
Organised by
Pernette Verschure

An exciting program has been put together with high-profile speakers including Prof. Wendy Bickmore, director of the MRC Human Genetics Unit at the University of Edinburgh, delivering a special EMBO Keynote lecture, Prof. Angelo Lombardo, Professor of Tissue Biology and Regenerative Medicine and co-founder of Chroma Medicine INC, discussing epigenetic editing therapeutics and Prof. Lei Stanley Qi, Professor of Bioengineering at Stanford University, one of the inventors of the nuclease-dead dCas system for CRISPR interference screening.

To foster interaction and participation, the conference includes a panel discussion on advances and gaps in epigenetics, with PhD students contributing to a white paper, a ‘Lunch with a Legend’ session, for PhD students to network with professionals, and a facilitated discussion on responsible innovation in epigenetic engineering. Sponsored support will help organize this timely event.

Prof. dr. Pernette Verschure will serve as one of the conference chairs for the 7th International Conference on Epigenetics and Bioengineering.
