Biological Sciences: General Biology (track)

Study programme

The programme offers the freedom to combine courses of all biological masters of the University of Amsterdam and other universities in consultation with the examination committee. This gives you the opportunity to create your own specific study path.

The greater part of the programme consists of research practicals. Students may choose to carry out their research at one of the research institutes associated with the programme such as Sanquin Blood Supply Foundation, the Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI) or the Netherlands Institute of Ecology (NIOO). Students may also choose to take courses in other subjects within or outside the field of biology, and may also do a ‘minor' in a subject outside their discipline.
