We are an interdisciplinary research team, driven by our passion to explore the complexities of microbial interactions and their profound effects on the well-being of the holomicrobiome.

In our lab, we combine experimentation, analytical chemistry, microbiology, and bioinformatics to uncover the mystery of the microbiome and its impact on human health. We investigate microbial adaptation and response to various stimuli, and explore the presence of common behavioural patterns across species.

Our research extends to disease models like Parkinson’s and inflammatory bowel disease, where we compare bacterial responses with healthy counterparts to understand gut health and adaptation. We design synthetic microbial communities and use them to engineer more effective strategies for microbiome reprogramming.
